SOLD!! CHICO: Super flashy 7 years old, 14.2 hh roan tobiano pinto, dark mane, white tail with black tip. He is genetic tested, has excellent feet (no shoes), is UTD on shots, Coggins and dental. Excellent blood lines out of Julio del Amante and Ciencia de MiLe. This quiet soul comes to you willingly with no need to “catch” him. He is curious, trusting, engaged and makes a great friend and partner. He stands untied for saddling, farrier (willingly offers feet), loads willingly into a trailer and has no vices. This amazing horse stands still for mounting and waits for the rider’s request. While riding, if the rider starts to get off while in motion, he has been taught to stop. He stops, backs and goes forward from just seat cues, moves the front around the back, the back around the front, side passes, leg yields and is learning spins. He has a lot to offer a beginner, intermediate or advanced rider! Chico has spent the past two years in a herd of eight owned by a professional horseman, riding instructor and trainer. This boy has a solid foundation on the ground and under saddle and has participated in our riding lesson program. His confidence and education makes him an excellent choice for the arena or trails. Cortez comes with a certificate of title, freeze mark and complete history since his capture in his native Nevada by the Bureau of Land Management. He is a true piece of America’s History. Cortez is a handsome boy and very gentle, intelligent, never aggressive and gets along great with other horses. He has been professionally ground schooled and newly started under saddle and ground driving in a halter by an Official Mustang Heritage Foundation Trainer. Cortez has a beautiful, suspended trot and great conformation. Cortez has been used as a lesson horse in Natural Horsemanship on the ground.
